A note to families: Book titles and websites in this guide have been suggested by librarians and educational organizations. Be an active part of your child’s book selection. Also, please check with your child’s school if there are additional lists for recommended or required books.

Kindergarten
The following is a list of supplies your child will need for kindergarten. Please put your child's NAME on all the notebooks and supplies. *You do not need to send everything in one day, you can spread it during the week. LARGE, zippered schoolbag without wheels
3 hardcover primary writing notebooks (these notebooks have dotted lines on the bottom and an empty space on the top of the page)
3 plastic solid-colored folders with pockets (2 red, 1 orange)
3 boxes (12-pack) sharpened pencils (Ticonderoga brand preferred) 1 pack of large pink erasers (NOT pencil toppers)
3 packs of thin-tip dry-erase markers--Expo brand
2 boxes of CRAYOLA crayons- 24 count only
6 Elmer's SOLID glue sticks (no liquid glue)
2 boxes of tissues (Kleenex or Puffs)
2 rolls of Bounty paper towels
1 package of baby wipes (Huggies or Pampers)
1 bottle of hand sanitizer
1 bottle of hand soap
1 pair of safety scissors (metal blade ONLY)
1 pack of large (gallon-size) zip-lock bags
1 pack of small sandwich zip-lock bags
Your child will need these supplies at home to complete homework assignments. Crayons, glue, safety scissors, and pencils
The following items are needed for the classroom but are not part of the supply list. If you would like to donate any of these items, it would be greatly appreciated. Lysol disinfectant wipes, gallon-size Ziploc bags with slider, Quart size Ziploc with slider

2 sets of earbuds (no headphones, they are too bulky)

2 package 3X5 ruled index cards highlighters (blue, yellow & pink)

Please take note of the following: Please be advised that this year’s Senior Dues will be determined ASAP. Collection begins in January 2025 All fourth grade students received a Summer Learning Packet. Successful completion of this packet earns your child an additional ten (10) Senior Points to start their senior year in P.S. 64 Queens Your child is expected to have the times tables memorized by the start of 5th Grade.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
The parents of P.S. 64 have voted to adopt a mandatory uniform policy in our school. Students attending P.S. 64 are expected to comply with this policy by wearing a school uniform every day.
We are striving for 100% school uniform dress each day.
ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR SCHOOL UNIFORMS EVERY DAY. -NAVY BLUE TOP- -KHAKI BOTTOMS-
